Career
Mark has almost 30 years professional experience. Mark leads Maddocks’ Government Group and in this role he has developed an extensive knowledge of the operation of Government. He works with the concepts of administrative law in its broadest form, examining the way in which the power devolves from Government and its methods of implementation and is frequently called upon to advise on concepts of natural justice and whether government proposals are within power.
Mark was rated as one of the four best Government Lawyers in Victoria in The Australian Financial Review’s Australia’s Best Lawyers Survey in 2011 and has been listed in Best Lawyers for Government in 2011-2016. Mark has also been ranked by the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association as one of Australia’s best and was described as a ‘brilliant lawyer and exceptionally easy to work with’.
