Marguerite has more than 15 years of experience in commercial litigation and acts for a broad range of clients across both state and federal jurisdictions. She has particular expertise in shareholder disputes, commercial disputes, intellectual property and insolvency matters.

Her recent experience includes acting for a liquidator and secured mortgagees in New South Wales Supreme Court proceedings to enforce leasehold interests in retirement village units, representing minority shareholders in Supreme Court of Queensland proceedings seeking orders for the winding up of a company on ‘just and equitable’ grounds and on grounds of oppression and unfair conduct, and defending a company and its employee in a misuse of confidential information proceeding in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

She also advises administrators and liquidators on the recovery of loans and preference payments, and acts for directors and creditors in defending claims brought by liquidators and regulators, including preference payment claims and assisting with responses to public examinations.
