Duncan is an experienced commercial disputes lawyer with expertise in property disputes, retail and commercial leasing disputes, insolvency disputes and complex commercial and contractual matters. He acts for a broad range of clients, including publicly listed companies, landlords and managers of shopping centres, property developers, retailers, petroleum operators and occupiers of commercial and industrial premises, advising on complex and often multi-faceted legal matters.

Duncan regularly assists clients with retail lease disputes and advisory work across New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT, including statutory notices, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, disturbance, relocation and demolition claims, lease renewals, assignments and surrenders. He also has extensive experience conducting litigation in the State and Federal Courts and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

With a strong background in insolvency law, Duncan advises voluntary administrators, liquidators and other interested parties on the rights and obligations arising from the insolvency of trading companies and on the impact of insolvency on creditors' claims and real property interests.
