Mr. Giwan Bae is a partner in the Litigation Group at Jipyong. Upon graduation from Seoul National University (B.A. in Business Administration) in 2004, he completed training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2008. After completing LL.M. (Corporate Law) at New York University School of Law in the U.S., heand was subsequently admitted to the Illinois bar of the US in November 2016.

Mr. Bae also serves as head of the Corporate and Financial Litigation Group and Head of Management Rights Dispute Response Center. His practice focuses on corporate and financial litigation, focusing on various management control disputes, private equity investment litigation on behalf of financial institutions, PF-related litigation, PE-related litigation, insurance litigation and general corporate litigation.

In addition, he advises on financial regulation and financial consumer protection, including internal control standards, voluntary compensation procedures in private equity cases, establishment of virtual asset exchanges, etc. under the Act on the Protection of Financial Consumers and Legal Tasks.
