Ho Wei Jie is a Partner in the Commercial & Corporate Disputes Practice.

Career

Her main areas of practice are employment, contentious investigations, as well as corporate and commercial dispute resolution. Wei Jie regularly advises clients on all aspects of employment laws, with particular focus on contentious employment related issues and investigations. She also has experience in a wide range of complex, high-value disputes including shareholders, employment, contractual and investment disputes.

Wei Jie graduated from the Singapore Management University. She was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2012.

Relevant Experience:

Matters of significance in which Wei Jie has been involved in include the following:

Advising a group of globally renowned technology companies on potential breaches of laws arising from the employment of foreign manpower in Singapore, and the companies’ internal investigations on the same. Advising one of the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas companies on the strategic re-organisation and downsizing of its Singapore workforce. Advising a leading financial institution on its internal investigations into whistleblowing complaints made against a senior executive, related disciplinary proceedings and remediation actions. Acting for the minority shareholders of a major family-owned dairy and beverage group in Singapore and Malaysia with an annual sales revenue of nearly S$500 million, in an action in the High Court and the Court of Appeal for relief against the other shareholders. Acting for a major rail operator in a lawsuit brought by its former supplier, and the counterclaim brought by the major rail operator against one of its ex-employees and the former supplier for loss and damage suffered from potentially fraudulent and unauthorised transactions. Acting for a businessman in relation to his financial and asset claims (valued at over S$17 million) against one of his former associates.
