Position

Gail Ong is the Head of the Equity Capital Markets Practice.

Career

She has represented both issuers and underwriters in a wide range of capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Her experience includes U.S.-registered and Rule 144A/Reg S equity and debt offerings by issuers in various industries in Southeast and South Asia, in particular Singapore, Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Thailand. Prior to joining WongPartnership, Gail practised U.S. securities law at the Singapore and New York offices of a leading international law firm.

Work Highlights

Significant transactions that Gail has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

• The initial public offerings of companies listing on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange such as VTAC (the first SPAC on SGX, and the subsequent de-SPAC), APAC Realty Limited, EMAS Offshore Limited, Asian Pay Television Trust and IHH Healthcare Berhad and other listings such as the secondary listing by NIO Inc. and Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited and listing by introduction of CapitaLand Investment Limited.
• The initial public offerings of companies listing on the Catalist Board of the Singapore Exchange such as Hyphens Pharma International Limited and RE&S Holdings Limited.
• The initial public offerings of companies listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange such as PT Integra Indocabinet Tbk and PT Aneka Gas Industri Tbk.
• The initial public offerings of companies listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand such as Ananda Development Public Company Limited.
• The initial public offerings of companies listing on Bursa Malaysia such as Tune Ins Holdings.
• Secondary market transactions for companies such as Wave Life Sciences Ltd., Banyan Tree Holdings, a leading global marine and offshore engineering group and urban development player and Danone Probiotics Pte. Ltd.
