Career

Karen’s main areas of practice are capital markets, securities offerings and general corporate law. She also has experience as legal counsel of an investment bank in Singapore where she worked mainly on capital markets transactions.

Significant transactions that Karen has been involved in include advising / acting for the following:

  • DBS Bank Ltd. and Citigroup Global Markets Singapore Pte. Ltd., the joint global coordinators, bookrunners and underwriters, in the approximately S$1,027.8 million initial public offering of Lendlease Global Commercial REIT on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange.
  • IHH Healthcare Berhad in its initial public offering under Rule 144A and Regulation S and dual-listing on Bursa Malaysia and the main board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
  • Global Logistic Properties Limited in its initial public offering on the main board of Singapore Exchange, which was awarded the Equity Capital Markets “Singapore Deal of the Year” by ALB SE Asia Law Awards.
  • Tiger Airways Holdings Limited in its initial public offering on the main board of Singapore Exchange, which was awarded “Best Mid-Cap Equity Deal” by FinanceAsia Awards for Achievement.
  • Linc Energy Ltd. in its concurrent delisting from the Australian Securities Exchange and its Rule 144A/Reg S offering and new listing on the Singapore Exchange.
  • Keppel REIT Management Limited (formally known as K-REIT Asia), as Manager and representative of Keppel REIT, in Keppel REIT’s fully underwritten rights issue in connection with the acquisition of approximately 87.5% equity interest of Ocean Properties Pte. Limited for a period of 99 years.
