Senior Partner

Mr. Pengchao Zhang joined Kangda Law Firm in 2005 and is a Senior Partner. With over thirty years of legal practice, he has provided legal services to hundreds of entities and public figures, including the Ministry of Health, China Central Television, Beijing Television, China Development Bank, China National Coal Group, Shenhua Group (now National Energy Group), Ping An Insurance Company, China Resources Group, the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese General Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and renowned film actor Zhang Tielin, recovering billions of yuan in economic losses for his clients. He has served as a member of the Member Affairs Committee of the Seventh and Eighth Beijing Lawyers Association, a member of the Olympic and Cultural Sports Legal Professional Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association, and a member and Secretary-General of the Company Law Professional Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association. He is dedicated to the study of company law, contract law, and other civil and commercial legal matters, and possesses unique insights, extensive practical experience, and precise case management capabilities in major civil and commercial cases as well as major criminal cases. He has participated in multiple overseas visits with Chinese state leaders, actively engaged in international trade and cultural exchanges, and has been awarded the titles of "Sino-French Economic and Trade Exchange Ambassador," Honorary Citizen of the State of California, and Honorary Citizen of the State of Ohio.

Throughout his practice, he has consistently provided long-term services to large and medium-sized enterprises (groups) and public figures, demonstrating strong capabilities in organising, coordinating, and managing major and unexpected legal matters. He has published numerous professional articles in central-level journals and actively participates in various social welfare activities and international academic exchange programmes.
