Career

Ms. Hou Beili previously worked in the court system for many years, engaged in civil and commercial adjudication. She served as a judge at a district people's court in Beijing, primarily handling civil and commercial cases. During her tenure at the court, she handled over 2,000 civil and commercial cases, including contract disputes such as commercial residential sales contract disputes, housing lease contract disputes, and construction contract disputes, as well as marriage and family and inheritance cases including divorce disputes, post-divorce property disputes, inheritance disputes, and child support disputes, accumulating extensive experience in civil and commercial adjudication.

From March 2016 to the present, she has been working at Kangda Law Firm, primarily engaged in major, complex, and difficult civil and commercial dispute resolution in the areas of real estate, marriage and family, and inheritance. She currently serves as the Director of Kangda's Marriage and Inheritance Research Centre.

Marriage and Family Law

Ms. Hou Beili was invited by Credit Suisse Wealth to give lectures to high-net-worth families on how to protect their assets under the current legal and social framework. She has also been interviewed multiple times by media outlets including China Central Television's First Time, Beijing Television's Rule of Law in Progress, and Legal Daily to provide commentary on social hotspots and cases.

Real Estate

Ms. Hou Beili has served as standing legal counsel to the Chaoyang Branch of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Beijing Chaoyang District Housing Management Bureau, the Beijing Chaoyang District Real Estate Registration Affairs Centre, and the Beijing Fengtai District Real Estate Registration Affairs Centre, among other entities. She participated in the revision of model texts including the Beijing Commercial Residential Sales Contract, Pre-owned Housing Sales Contract, Beijing Housing Lease Contract, Beijing Housing Rental Brokerage Service Contract, and Beijing Housing Tenancy Brokerage Service Contract. She assisted the Chaoyang District Real Estate Registration Affairs Centre and the Fengtai District Real Estate Registration Affairs Centre in handling a large number of inheritance inspection and survey matters, and participated in housing expropriation and compensation projects in areas including Yong'anli, Chaoyang District, accumulating extensive practical experience.

Ms. Hou has provided real estate-related litigation and special legal services to numerous large and medium-sized companies, including: Anhui Chang'an City Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. overdue property certificate litigation; Beijing Lotte Venus Building Development Co., Ltd. (LG Corporation) housing reform project special legal services; and Beijing Dongfang Huitong Electric Co., Ltd. demolition and relocation compensation special legal services.
