Tommaso is a counsel in the Financial Markets team at Simmons & Simmons, with extensive experience advising leading Italian and international banks, financial institutions, private equity and private debt funds, as well as corporates, including listed companies.

His practice spans acquisition and leveraged finance, corporate and syndicated lending, sustainable finance (ESG), margin lending, bond issuances, and financing in support of public tender offers (PTOs).

Tommaso is highly specialised in complex leveraged buy-out transactions, both domestic and cross-border. In recent years, he has focused on assisting financial institutions and private debt funds with innovative financing structures, including “HoldCo financing,” “mezzanine financing,” and “unitranche financing.” His expertise also extends to pioneering solutions for the Italian market, such as “FOLO - First Out Last Out,” executed through both direct lending and bond issuance and subscription.

In addition to his transactional work, Tommaso has significant experience in debt restructuring and turnaround transactions. His deep technical knowledge and innovative approach make him a trusted advisor for clients navigating sophisticated and high-value financial transactions.
