Franco is a partner in the Financial Markets team at Simmons & Simmons.

He advises leading banks and financial institutions, export credit agencies, private debt and private equity funds, as well as corporates, on a wide range of financing transactions, financial debt restructuring, and equity reorganisation in both the Italian and international markets. Franco’s expertise includes acquisition and leveraged finance, corporate finance, trade finance, sustainable finance (ESG), margin lending, and financing in support of public tender offers (PTOs). He also gained significant experience in real estate financing.

In recent years, Franco developed a particular focus on leveraged buy-out transactions, working with banks and private debt funds to support acquisitions across sectors such as manufacturing, IT - software, and food & beverage. His work often involves cross-border and multi-jurisdictional mandates, reflecting his strong international capabilities. Additionally, Franco has a proven track record in debt restructuring and turnaround transactions.
