Emilien specialises in financial and insurance regulatory matters with a specific focus on asset management, banking and insurance regulations, in particular regarding offering of financial and insurance products, provision of investment services and banking operations and FinTech initiatives. He advises a wide range of financial and insurance actors as investment services providers, management companies, banks, insurance companies and brokers, payment services providers and FinTechs (including cryptoasset services providers).

Emilien is also experienced in acquiring licences for regulated institutions and assisting them within the context of supervisory audits and frequently liaises with the French regulators on behalf of financial and insurance institutions.

Emilien is a French lawyer, admitted to the Paris Bar in 2011. He joined Simmons & Simmons in 2011 having previously worked for various law firms and financial institutions. Emilien holds a Master’s Degree and a DJCE in business law (Aix-Marseille University).
