Georgie Courtois advises on all aspects of information technology law, including software, internet, cryptography, and data protection, as well as intellectual property (copyright, neighbouring rights, trademarks, domain names) and commercial law.
He represents the firm’s clients in high-stakes litigation before civil, commercial, and criminal courts, as well as regulatory authorities. His practice spans both contentious and non-contentious matters, with extensive experience in advising, negotiating, and drafting complex technology-related agreements.
A true technology enthusiast, Georgie combines deep technical insight with strong legal acumen. He has developed recognized expertise in emerging and disruptive technologies, including artificial intelligence, connected devices (IoT), blockchain, big data, 3D printing, robotics… He also advises on cybersecurity and anti-piracy strategies, with a focus on cybercrime prevention and enforcement.
Georgie Courtois has an active practice in gaming law—covering online gambling, casino regulation, and e-sports—as well as media and entertainment law, with a particular emphasis on broadcasting (including sports media rights and television).
Before joining Simmons & Simmons in June 2025, Georgie Courtois graduated with a Master’s degree (DESS) in Digital Law and New Technologies from the Jean-Monnet Faculty in Sceaux, Paris.
