Laura is a highly experienced corporate lawyer and a Partner in Bermans’ Corporate team in Manchester.  She combines over 15 years’ experience in private practice with senior in-house expertise as Head of Legal, Transactions, giving her a broad perspective that clients value.

Laura advises on a full spectrum of corporate work, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, group reorganisations and complex shareholder matters.  She has acted for companies, founder-shareholders, management teams and private equity institutions across a wide range of sectors and is recognised for her ability to manage transactions efficiently while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

Laura is respected by clients for her pragmatic, commercially-driven approach and for giving clear, solution-focused advice.  Her in-house experience means she is focused on aligning with her client’s strategic objectives and risk appetite.  She is regularly recognised for her calm approach on demanding and time-critical transactions.

Before moving to Manchester in 2019, Laura trained and practised in Scotland working in the corporate finance teams of two leading national firms.

Laura is a member of Law Society of Scotland.

Laura obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Aberdeen and qualified as a solicitor in 2008.
