Jonathan is an award-winning contract Litigator and dispute resolver with over 35 years of experience. He works with clients to recover monies due to them and to resolve complex disputes in the most cost effective and commercial way.

Jonathan handles recoveries and disputes in all sectors but specialises in Financial Service recoveries.  Clients appreciate his commercially minded approach, which combines tenacity with flexibility and focuses on delivering prompt and cost-effective results.

Jonathan’s work has involved him in cases at all levels from the County Courts to the UK Supreme Court and has on occasion included claims involving foreign law and jurisdictions.

Jonathan has been recognised as a top lawyer by the Times as their “Lawyer of the Week” in September 2011, and Legal Business Magazine who highly commended him for “Lawyer of the Year” in 2012. Jonathan was the Liverpool Law Society’s “Solicitor of the Year” in 2013. Jonathan has been chair of the Liverpool Law Society’s Civil Litigation Committee.

Jonathan is a member of The Law Society and Liverpool Law Society.

Jonathan attended the Chester Law College and Bristol Polytechnic.

Jonathan enjoys playing Golf ( and is a member of Royal Liverpool Golf Club). He also has a keen interest in Wine and has a WSE Level 1 award.
