Career

Ms. Cui Duan joined JunHe in 2026. Prior to joining the firm, Cui had over 19 years of experience in banking and finance, specializing in China-related outbound transactions. She has advised leading Chinese financial institutions and corporations on complex cross-border financing matters, including acquisition finance, project finance, export credit, trade finance, and debt restructuring across Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.

Ms. Cui has acted as the standing external counsel for major state-owned financial institutions including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China Export-Import Bank (CEXIM), China Development Bank (CDB), CITIC Bank and Bank of China (BOC), successfully structuring and negotiating large-scale overseas financing transactions. Her experience spans syndicated loans, acquisition lending, debt restructuring and Sinosure-backed export credit facilities across the infrastructure, mining, energy and transport sectors.

Ms. Cui has been recognized as a Next Generation Lawyer in Banking & Finance by Legal 500 Asia Pacific for four consecutive years (2022–2025), reflecting her technical expertise and international perspective. She holds an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham and is qualified as a PRC lawyer and as a Solicitor of England and Wales.
