Mr. Guo Chao joined JunHe in 2018 and is based in the   Guangzhou office. He specializes in data compliance and has extensive   experience in personal information protection, cybersecurity,   telecommunications and the internet, AI, e-commerce and other digital   services. Mr. Guo has assisted a wide range of domestic and international   enterprises with data protection, cybersecurity and AI-related filings, as   well as various projects and issues concerning corporate establishment and   operations. His clients span multiple industries with a particular focus on   finance, retail, e-commerce and industrial manufacturing.

Mr. Guo's representative   experience in data protection and cybersecurity includes providing legal   advice regarding the Personal Information Protection Law and e-commerce   compliance for multiple luxury brands. He advised the China branch of a   foreign bank in a cybersecurity law compliance assessment (this included a   cross-border data transfer assessment) and he conducted a cybersecurity   compliance assessment and provided data protection compliance (including data   governance) advisory services for a multinational industrial enterprise. Mr.   Guo also assisted a renowned patent database service provider and an   international chemical enterprise in completing algorithm filing compliance   procedures.

Mr. Guo obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Sun Yat-sen   University and a Master of Laws from Renmin University of China.
