Career

Over more than 20 years, Ms. Zhang has been advising multinational companies on establishing entities, M&A transactions and operations in China in such industrial sectors as automobiles, equipment manufacturing, steel manufacturing, electronics and semi-conductor, real estate, e-commerce, high-tech, chemicals, asset management, among others. She has extensive experience in advising clients on the structural and regulatory/governmental approval issues, organizing legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, among others. The acquisition deal - Nutreco/Zhuhai Shihai Feed Co. Ltd. in which Ms. Zhang acted as lead counsel won the Chinese Legal Adviser of the Year in the 2012 Acquisition International M&A Awards.

Ms. Zhang has also advised on clients on regulatory compliance matters, such as anti-commercial bribery, hazardous substance regulation, data protection & privacy, public procurement, etc.

From July 1997 through October 1998, Ms. Zhang worked at the New York and San Francisco offices of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP. as a visiting attorney. While at LeBoeuf, Ms. Zhang worked on corporate matters, insurance matters, international finance projects, she also advised American companies on doing business in China. Thereafter, she worked at JunHe’s New York office for about six months.
