Ms. Zheng (Crystal) He joined JunHe in 2015. From 2006 to 2008 she worked at the Department of Materials Molecular Science at the Institute for Molecular Science, Japan, conducting macromolecular scientific research. From 2008 to 2015, Ms. He worked at an IP firm as a patent agent, dealing with patent drafting and patent prosecution.

Ms. He practices primarily in the technical areas of chemistry, material science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical science and medical devices and focuses on patent prosecution and intellectual property due diligence.

Ms. He has represented a number of large Chinese and foreign biotechnology companies and universities in a wide variety of intellectual property related matters, which include patent filing strategy design, patent drafting, patent portfolio management, patent procurement, patent re-examination and invalidation proceedings, patentability analysis and patent infringement assessment.

Ms. He has assisted various venture capital firms in conducting patent Freedom to Operate (FTO) analyses, patent validity analyses and IP-related agreement reviews for potential investors.  She has been responsible for intellectual property due diligence work in various biopharmaceutical companies’ applications for IPOs in Hong Kong and the United States as well as on the sci-tech innovation board.
