Mr. Zhang is a partner of JunHe practicing in the Shanghai office.

Mr. Zhang joined JunHe in 2001, and practices in the areas of corporate law and M&A, outbound investment, and private equity/venture capital.

Mr. Zhang has extensive expertise in providing professional legal services to numerous multinational companies for their cross-border M&A projects, as well as their general corporate and compliance matters, particularly the related legal services in industries such as hospitality; life science and healthcare; automobiles and auto parts; and internet and high-tech. During the period from 2006 to 2007, he was seconded by JunHe to work in Tokyo as a visiting lawyer with the legal department of ITOCHU Corporation and participated in cross-border M&A projects in Japan, US and UK.

In recent years, Mr. Zhang has represented the listed companies and PE funds in a number of high-profile outbound investment projects in countries in North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and South America. He is intimately familiar with the transaction documents and customary practices of outbound investment transactions.

Mr. Zhang has provided legal services (set-up and investment) to a number of PE/VC funds, including Hony Capital, PAG Asia, Everbright Private Equity, Chinastone Energy Fund, Real Power Investment Fund, Ping An Venture, Fosun Capital, KPCB, Northern Light, Sinovo Growth Capital, UOB Venture and Hotung Group. Mr. Zhang has also represented many portfolio companies and founders in closing rounds of financings.
