Ms. Yunke Yao joined JunHe’s Shanghai office in  2010. Previously she served for five years as an associate and then a partner at a Chinese boutique law firm and was an associate in JunHe's Shanghai office for over six years.

Ms. Yao possesses extensive experience in strategic M&As, private equity and venture capital investments, and foreign direct investments or divestments. She has provided legal services to major domestic enterprises and multinational corporations in industries such as chemicals, life sciences, clean energy, real estate, TMT, and retail.

Ms. Yao has led many high-profile M&A and investment deals such as PAG’s sale of its shares in Yingde Gases, Grifols’ sale of its shares in Shanghai RAAS (SZSE: 002252), Jabil’s sale of certain PRC assets to Jabil, Tencent’s investments in Dianping, DXY.com, Weiyi Group, and other startups across different industries.

In the 2023 Asia-Pacific edition of IFLR1000, Ms. Yao was recognized for her expertise in the M&A practice area.
