Tao Xiong joined JunHe in July 2017 and is based in our Shanghai office. Before joining JunHe, Ms. Xiong worked for over eight years as a partner at two Chinese law firms in Shanghai, where she specialized in private equity and venture capital investments, as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions. She also practiced for many years at K&L Gates LLP in the United States and O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Shanghai, in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment and venture capital financing. Before becoming a practicing lawyer, Ms. Xiong worked as a lecturer-in-law at the law school of Renmin University of China.

Ms. Xiong has extensive experience in advising multinational companies in their investments in China as well as cross-border merger and acquisition transactions. She also has broad private equity and venture capital experience that ranges from advising on fund formation, representing funds in early and growth stage portfolio equity or debt investments, as well as representing fund and portfolio companies in their complex restructuring and exit transactions.
