Career

Mr. Zhang taught constitutional and administrative law at Zhejiang’s Management College of Politics and Law. He was also in charge of the student section and worked part time in the legal profession. In early 1996, he worked at a law firm as a partner, before joining King & Wood Mallesons as a partner in September 2005. Finally, he joined JunHe as a partner in August 2019.

Mr. Zhang began his legal career in 1993 and was involved in civil, administrative and criminal cases. In 1994, he switched to providing comprehensive legal services in the real estate field, and served as a perennial legal adviser to multiple enterprises, institutions and government departments, across many different industries. Since 2000, he has provided services to corporations with regard to restructuring and stock listings, acquisitions and reorganization of listed companies, and debt crisis solutions in capital markets. He also provided legal services for trust companies and insurance fund management companies, in trust assets management and trust investments, as well as family wealth management. Since 2015, Mr. Zhang has hosted a number of influential projects relevant to the internal control rights competition of listed companies among major shareholders, and has been known as a forerunner in the field of hostile acquisitions. He has participated in many disputes involving illegal information disclosure of listed companies and insider trading. Mr. Zhang has also conducted an in-depth study of compliance affairs and dispute solutions for listed companies.
