Nicola Mitchard qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 and joined Blackfords LLP during 2017.

Throughout her career she has specialised in the defence of complex criminal cases and has developed a specialism in complex, high value fraud cases, involving many thousands of pages of evidence.

During her career she has gained a wealth of experience, representing individuals and companies being investigated and/or prosecuted by the SFO, CPS, NRW, Trading Standards and Local Authorities.

She is also regularly instructed in relation to regulatory matters, representing clients facing investigation by Ofsted, the Care Quality Commission, and the GDC.

Nicola has developed a reputation for her thorough preparation of cases, attention to detail and excellent client care.
