Founder, Senior Lawyer and Managing Partner

Suthawan Boonmak (Poon) is the Founder and Partner of Candiduck Co., Ltd., a Thailand-based legal and business consultancy firm advising both domestic and international clients on corporate, commercial, and cross-border matters.

She is a qualified Thai lawyer with extensive experience in corporate structuring, foreign investment, and regulatory compliance, including BOI-promoted projects, Foreign Business License applications, and Treaty of Amity arrangements. Her practice focuses on assisting foreign investors and multinational clients in establishing and operating businesses in Thailand, as well as advising on corporate governance, commercial contracts, and ongoing compliance requirements.

Suthawan currently serves as a committee member and Vice President of the New Zealand–Thai Chamber of Commerce (NZTCC), where she is actively involved in supporting international business collaboration and cross-border initiatives. In addition to her legal practice, she is a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, teaching International Financial and Monetary Law in both English and Thai programs.

Prior to founding Candiduck, she gained experience working with corporate and international clients across various sectors. She continues to advise a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, startups, and multinational companies operating in Thailand and the wider ASEAN region.
