Lance is a corporate transactional lawyer with more than 20 years' experience advising on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, commercial contracts, and shareholder and joint venture arrangements. He is known for his ability to cut through complexity and get deals done, acting for buyers and sellers across the full range of transaction sizes with the same solutions-focused approach and clear, direct advice.

Lance is one of New Zealand's most experienced advisers on the Overseas Investment Act, regularly instructed by international private equity firms, institutional investors, and offshore law firms on inbound investment transactions, advising on the applicability of the regime, and applying for and obtaining Overseas Investment Office consent on transactions with a New Zealand nexus.
