Richard is a civil and commercial litigator with particular expertise in insolvency and sanctions law, advising on disputes involving contractual, property, trusts, and company law issues. He acts for companies, insolvency practitioners, and high net worth individuals, clients who frequently require counsel that combines technical rigour with commercial pragmatism.

His sanctions practice is a recognised specialism, advising both designated persons and those interacting with them on compliance, interpretation, and enforcement issues, an area of growing importance for international clients and offshore institutions operating in an increasingly complex global regulatory environment. Richard is also admitted to the Supreme Court of Samoa and takes instructions in that jurisdiction, extending the firm's reach across the Pacific.
