Matt is a corporate and commercial lawyer with a particular focus on the technology and energy sectors, advising clients ranging from startups to large corporates and public sector organisations,  including on cross-border transactions and matters requiring coordination with offshore counsel. His corporate practice spans capital raising and investment, corporate restructures, employee share schemes, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracting.

Alongside this, he has developed significant depth in two specialist areas: technology, covering commercialisation and licensing, SaaS arrangements, procurement, outsourcing, and data protection, and energy, where he advises on solar energy arrangements, power purchase agreements, and regulatory issues. That dual specialism makes him well placed to advise the growing number of clients where technology and energy intersect.
