Karen is a commercial litigator with specialist expertise in construction and infrastructure disputes, advising national and international clients and consortiums on significant projects across New Zealand. She acts for contractors, principals, and subcontractors on complex adjudications and arbitrations, and appears as counsel in the High Court, District Court, and Tribunals.

Her practice spans the full range of construction claims and disputes, including under NZ Standard Forms, complex PPP structures, and NEC contracts, and she brings both deep technical knowledge and practical risk management experience to matters that demand strategic thinking as much as legal expertise.
