Sophia Leeder is a Partner in Stowe Family Law’s London region. She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and previously worked in the family team of an international law firm in London.

Sophia advises on all areas of family law, with particular expertise in complex financial matters arising from divorce and separation. She acts for clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including hedge fund founders, entrepreneurs and individuals with inherited or landed-estate wealth.

Her practice has a strong international focus. Sophia represents clients based in the UK, Europe, the United States and the Middle East, including in applications for financial provision in England following an overseas divorce. She also advises companies and trustees involved as third parties in financial proceedings.

Sophia has extensive experience drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She has presented on nuptial agreements, trust interests, international wealth planning and matrimonial property regimes at STEP and AIJA events.

Her broader practice encompasses children matters, separation agreements and disputes involving unmarried couples, including property claims and applications for financial provision for children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act.

Sophia is a member of Resolution.

Sophia holds a first-class honours degree in History and achieved a distinction in the Legal Practice Course.
