Team Leader Partner, South Coast & South West

Laura George is a Team Leader Partner covering Stowe Family Law’s Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Dorset region. She qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive after training exclusively in family law.

Laura began her career at a specialist private client firm, where she spent nearly nine years working predominantly on high-net-worth and high-profile matters. She subsequently worked at other local firms before joining Stowe’s Southampton office in January 2024.

Laura advises on all aspects of family law. Her financial practice encompasses cases involving complex corporate structures and trusts, as well as matters where assets are more limited. She also advises on private children law, injunction proceedings and separation agreements.

Laura has particular experience supporting unmarried couples following separation, including in TOLATA property disputes. She also advises on cohabitation agreements and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Laura is a member of Resolution.

Laura studied Accounting and Law at Bournemouth University, graduating in 2008.

Outside work, Laura enjoys spending time with her daughter, attending live music events, long walks, paddleboarding and golf. She is also a supporter of Southampton Football Club.
