Career
Nicola has extensive experience in probate and the administration of high value estates, estate and tax planning and the preparation of Wills (regularly working closely with a client’s existing advisers), Court of Protection deputyship applications, the preparation of all types of Power of Attorney and the creation and administration of Trusts.
Other areas of interest and expertise include obtaining grants in the UK where the deceased client was domiciled in Ireland and the management of financial affairs for elderly or vulnerable clients in the capacity of either Deputy or Attorney.
Nicola provides practical advice with a personable manner and has enjoyed the long-term relationships she has built up with clients over the years. As a full member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly), she advises with compassion and clarity.
Nicola qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and continued practising with the Lincoln firm where she had trained before relocating to Hampshire in 1998. Before joining Phillips in 2023 she worked for the past 25 years for a multi-office firm in the local area, leading their Wills, Trusts and Probate team.
