Mr. Ali Gillani is a highly experienced corporate lawyer and Senior Legal Consultant with over 18 years of post-qualification experience across international and domestic legal markets. He specializes in infrastructure development, energy projects, project finance, public-private partnerships, construction, and mergers and acquisitions, with extensive experience advising on high-value and strategically significant projects across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia.He has held senior legal and advisory roles, including Managing Partner of Gillani & Gillani Barristers & Corporate Counsellors, Corporate Advisor to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum for the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan region, Legal Counsel and Company Secretary within the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, and legal counsel roles with international energy and investment groups. He has also served as Consultant and Assistant to the Attorney General for Pakistan and as Legal Advisor within the Ministry of Law, Government of Punjab.His experience includes advising government entities, sovereign bodies, multinational corporations, developers, investors, and major infrastructure companies on complex project development, financing, regulatory structuring, procurement, PPP frameworks, and cross-border transactions. He has advised on multi-billion-dollar infrastructure and energy projects, including power transmission, renewable energy, hydropower, transport infrastructure, special economic zones, and strategic government-led development projects. He has also contributed to significant constitutional, sovereign advisory, and regulatory matters, including assisting in landmark proceedings before the Supreme Court of Pakistan, advising on legislative and regulatory frameworks, and supporting complex negotiations involving government bodies and international institutions.
