Position
Verity is a Senior Associate in the Private Client department.
Verity advises a wide range of UK and international clients, including high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, trustees, and family offices on a broad range of tax, trust and estate planning issues.
Her work includes:

- advising internationally mobile individuals on the UK tax and residence implications of relocation (including pre-arrival and departure planning);
-
- long term structuring and tax efficient estate planning, including for entrepreneurial family businesses;
-
- estate planning in the context of complex divorce proceedings;
-
- the creation and management of trusts and associated tax planning;
-
- the preparation of wills for UK domiciled and non-domiciled (non-dom) individuals; and
-
- advising on capacity issues and planning, including the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Verity works closely with the firm’s contentious trusts and estates, family, corporate, probate and property teams.
Verity is named as one of the 2025 eprivateclient Next Gen Leaders.
Verity is shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year – Associate at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2025.
Career
Verity qualified into the Private Client department at Payne Hicks Beach in 2021 having joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2019.
Memberships
Verity became a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having been awarded a distinction in the STEP Diploma. Verity was awarded STEP Advanced Certificates in the Administration of Trusts, the Administration of Estates, the Taxation of Trusts and Estates and UK Tax for International Clients across 2023 and 2024. Verity won a STEP Excellence Award in 2025 as the highest scoring student in the STEP Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Estates (England & Wales).
Education
Verity read Classics at Jesus College, Oxford (2016) and postgraduate African Studies at SOAS, University of London (2017) before studying for her GDL (2018) and LPC (2019) at BPP University.
