Ashley heads the firm’s professional negligence department. She has been a litigation lawyer for over 20 years. For the past 18 years, she has practised in the field of professional negligence. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in professional negligence law and sits on the Insurance Committee of the Law Society of Scotland. She is a Writer to the Signet (WS), co-chairs the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association (PNLA) Scottish conference, and is a PNLA representative for Scotland. Ashley is a regular contributor to CPD seminars and training on professional negligence law in Scotland.

Ashley is regularly instructed in high-value and complex claims against solicitors and acts in both the pursuit and defence of claims against accountants, financial services professionals and construction clients. Her clients include professional services firms, construction companies, property investment companies, pension trustees and private individuals. She also assists clients in coverage disputes with professional indemnity insurers.
