Partner and head of the criminal department. Work includes attendance and representation at all police stations, and representation at both Magistrates and Youth Courts. Dealing with a wide variety of cases from murder and rape, to assault and complex fraud. Also deals with health and safety and trading standards matters.
Career
Michelle Breindel has over 20 years’ experience specialising in Criminal Law; becoming a Duty Solicitor in 2001. She has become an established Advocate in many of the Courts around Essex. She acts for Clients in both the Youth and Magistrates Court, the Crown Court and Police Station.
She undertakes both Private and Legally Aided work. She has an extensive knowledge of the Law.
She is known for dealing with complex and novel issues when defending Clients in a variety of offences ranging from assault, murder and rape to sexual offences and robberies. She has vast experience in representing Clients in large complex murders.
In relation to motoring, Michelle has extensive experience in this niche area of law. She regularly defends a wide variety of cases from dangerous driving, drug and drink driving to dealing with speeding and ‘Totting’ procedures. Michelle is very successful in running Exceptional Hardship Arguments to assist drivers with keeping their licence once they become ‘Totters’ and has an impressive reputation for dealing with these types of cases.
She has dealt with a huge variety of cases including traffic matters, serious violence, murder, all manner of sexual offences, public order and dishonesty. She was recently involved in the successful outcome in a million pound Trading Standards fraud case. She has also undertaken a number of Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) cases.
