Position

Jodi is a Partner and Head of Birth and Paediatric Negligence.

Career

She is a dedicated clinical negligence solicitor with over 20 years of experience having qualified in 2001.

Jodi has acted for many years as an expert clinical negligence solicitor. She has a successful practice as a specialist in birth negligence cases, about which she is passionate. She prides herself on providing a personal and sensitive service and using her wealth of experience to advocate for her clients who have tragically lost a baby or child and for families with children who have suffered life-changing brain injuries, particularly children with Cerebral Palsy and Erb’s palsy injuries.

The majority of her case-load involves acting for families of cerebral palsy children. She has campaigned and written articles about reform of the Early Notification Scheme which is a Scheme run by NHSR for eligible babies who have suffered brain injuries.

Jodi also has a demonstrated strong track record of success on a broad variety of complex cases, in particular, cancer misdiagnosis. She has achieved substantial settlements in cases involving gynaecological and obstetric injuries to mothers, delayed diagnosis of DVTs and pulmonary embolisms, failure to diagnose sepsis, delayed diagnosis of hydrocephalus, delayed diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease, A & E errors, and organ transplant surgery. In addition, she has enjoyed a long career of representing families at inquests.

Memberships

She was appointed in June 2021 as an AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents) Clinical Negligence Panel member and achieved the Law Society panel membership for which she has recently been re-accredited in February 2024. She is a dedicated supporter of AvMA.

Jodi is recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers directories.  In September 2021 Jodi was appointed a member of the SCIL (Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers) Executive Committee and is the co-ordinator of the Brain Injury Special Interest Group for APIL.

Education

Jodi graduated with a law degree from the University of Manchester.

In her spare time Jodi enjoys playing the piano, spending time with her family, and is an Arsenal supporter.
