Position

Helen is a Senior Associate in the Public and Regulatory team at Bates Wells. She advises both in and out of court on the full spectrum of public and regulatory law, including equality and discrimination, human rights, freedom of information, local government, environmental law, education, charity regulation, fitness to practise, and professional regulation.

Helen has a particular focus on judicial review challenges, in which she represents claimants, intervenors, interested parties, and defendants. She also acts in inquests and public inquiries.

Examples of her recent work include advising extensively on protected belief protections under the Equality Act 2010; and helping organisations (including charities) to respond to requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
