Position

Suhan is a Partner in the Charity and Social Enterprise team at Bates Wells, supporting charities, social enterprises, campaigners, public bodies and mission-driven businesses. He advises on charity registrations, new projects, fundraising, governance and a broad range of commercial matters, with particular expertise in public procurement and UK subsidy control.

He has extensive experience guiding clients through complex regulatory issues, including Charity Commission investigations and high-profile statutory inquiries. Suhan also provides practical support during organisational crises, helping clients navigate challenging legal and regulatory environments.

As a member of the firm’s Politics, Elections & Campaigning team, Suhan advises political parties, candidates, donors, charities and campaigners on election and referendum law, campaign finance, lobbying transparency and the wider rules governing political advocacy.
