Career

Nikoleta Pogiatzi is a Partner at Frangos Law, specialising in corporate and commercial litigation, arbitration and cross-border matters.

She advises and represents clients in complex domestic and multi-jurisdictional corporate and commercial disputes, including shareholders’ disputes and matters involving fraud and conspiracy. Her practice includes acting in high-value proceedings before the Cyprus Courts and securing provisional and interim relief, such as freezing (Mareva) and Norwich Pharmacal injunctions, particularly in urgent and sensitive cases.

Nikoleta has particular experience in matters with a strong cross-border dimension, including applications filed in aid of foreign court and arbitral proceedings, as well as the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. She is also experienced in managing and conducting complex legal due diligence exercises, including for major local financial institutions.

In parallel with her contentious practice, Nikoleta advises on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including the negotiation and drafting of shareholders’ agreements, share purchase agreements and other commercial arrangements. She also provides corporate governance and regulatory advice, with a focus on directors’ duties, shareholders’ rights and internal corporate matters, and advises on Cyprus and EU regulatory frameworks applicable to investment services and capital markets activities. Her work includes supporting clients with regulatory structuring, licensing considerations, ongoing compliance and, where appropriate, liaising with competent authorities and other stakeholders in relation to regulatory queries and submissions.
