Lawrence Villanueva, Ph.D. is a partner in Thomas Horstemeyer’s patent prosecution group. He has 30 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications primarily in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological fields.

Larry has extensive experience across a wide range of technologies including pharmaceuticals, polymers and material chemistry, catalysts, and drug delivery devices.  In addition to patent prosecution, Larry counsels’ clients regarding IP due diligence as well as provide opinions relating to freedom to operate and validity/invalidity.

Larry’s clients include large corporations, research universities and institutions, and medium-sized companies. He diligently works with his clients to align their intellectual property with their business goals in order to maximize the value of their intellectual property.
