Career
Christopher Linder, Ph.D. is a partner in Thomas Horstemeyer’s patent prosecution group. His practice involves preparing and prosecuting patent applications across chemical, pharmaceutical, material science, polymer, biotechnological, and textile fields.
Chris has helped many clients to secure and protect their patent rights by developing comprehensive claim strategies, including Fortune 100 companies, large research universities and institutions, and medium-sized companies. Chris also counsel’s clients regarding IP due diligence and renders opinions relating to right-to-use and infringement/noninfringement.
Chris is passionate about his work with universities. He founded the Southeastern Region Technology Transfer Directors Meeting (SRTTD) in 2002, an annual event for technology transfer directors in the Southeast. He is also an avid member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM).
Chris manages multiple university clients, including the University of Georgia Research Foundation, Emory University, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, University of Florida Research Foundation, University of Virginia, University of Texas, University of California Davis, and more.
Chris was previously the managing partner of Thomas Horstemeyer from 2018 – 2021.
