Cal is a litigator with extensive experience in complex business, insurance, and financial disputes, class actions, professional liability and ethics, and other high-stakes business matters.

During his 39 years of practice, Cal has represented lawyers, law firms, local and national businesses, partnerships, manufacturers, insurance companies, and financial institutions in significant state and federal proceedings. A former President of the South Carolina Bar, Cal has been recognized consistently for professional excellence both by his peers and multiple ranking organizations, including Chambers USA and Legal 500. Cal also served as the firm’s managing partner for 25 years and played an integral role in shaping the firm’s reputation and advancing a culture rooted in integrity, civility, and excellence.
