Stephanie Ewbank is a Partner in MF&G’s Litigation Department and a highly regarded commercial litigator known for her strategic handling of complex shareholder and corporate disputes. She is recognised for achieving practical, results-driven outcomes in high-conflict litigation. 

Practice Focus 

Commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, oppression and derivative actions, judicial review, property disputes and enforcement of foreign judgements. 

Key Experience & Matters 

  • Successfully acted for minority shareholders in oppression proceedings resulting in court-ordered share buy-outs (Gloria Chung et al v Michael Chung).
    • Secured critical disclosure orders in shareholder oppression claims.
    • Successfully opposed injunctive relief in high-stakes corporate governance disputes (Drakulich v Karibukai).
    • Successfully defended private hospital decisions in judicial review proceedings before the Court of Appeal.
    • Enforced foreign judgments against challenges alleging fraud and public policy breaches.

  • Regularly involved in leading Commercial Court matters involving corporate governance and shareholder rights.
    • Elected member of the Jamaican Bar Association’s Bar Council.
