With over two decades of experience, he has represented clients in high-stakes disputes across various industries, including healthcare, finance, and government contracts. John has achieved significant legal victories, including the reversal of wrongful convictions and favorable outcomes in federal and state courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

John served as a law clerk for the Honorable A. Wallace Tashima in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and as a Deputy Federal Public Defender in the Central District of California, ultimately becoming Chief of the Los Angeles Trial Unit. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School.

John has been actively involved in the legal community, serving as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference from 2017 to 2025 .
