Originally from Boston, MA, he received his B.A. degree in Communication from the Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2014, and his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly the University of California, Hastings College of the Law) in 2024. While in law school, Dan served as the Executive Articles Editor of the UC Business Law Journal (formerly Hastings Business Law Journal) as well as a general council member for the Associated Students of UC Law SF (student government of UC Law SF).

Before attending law school, Dan worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, at a start up in Boston, MA, and as a project legal assistant at Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C.
