He specialises in Corporate Law, Insolvency Law, and Securities Market Law, and has authored numerous publications in these areas.

He is a member of the editorial boards of the Revista de Derecho Concursal y Preconcursal and the Revista de Derecho del Mercado de Valores.

Currently, he is the Secretary General of BIMSA. He was also Vice President of the Tax Council of the Barcelona City Council from May 2006 to September 2016.

He has extensive experience in developing public-private partnership models for major corporate infrastructure projects related to project financing.

Prof. Bisbal holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bologna. He was a visiting researcher at Yale Law School, and served as director of the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Barcelona. He is also one of the founders of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
