Ian is a Legal Director with over 35 years’ experience in commercial property, specialising in development schemes, investment and landlord and tenant matters.

Ian joined Myerson in 2020 after 31 years at JMW in Manchester, where he was Head of the Real Estate team. Ian has been recognised as a “Leading Lawyer” in the Legal 500.

Ian has extensive knowledge of property development, working collaboratively with developers and their professional teams on schemes across the country. This will involve the initial purchase of the site and the grant of planning permission through to pre-let agreements with occupiers, construction of the development and a sale to an investor.

Ian has been a part of numerous town centre regeneration projects over the years, bringing redundant buildings back to life and kick-starting the economy of local areas. There is barely a national retailer that Ian has not worked with, concluding complex development agreements and agreements to lease.

In addition, Ian specialises in landlord and tenant work for owners of all types of commercial property, as well as high-value sales and purchases and re-finances.
