DR VERONIQUE DALLI

Dr. Veronique Dalli is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dalli Advocates, a mid-size law firm located in Valletta, Malta, which she founded in 2016. With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Dalli is a highly regarded litigation counsel. She has also represented and advised corporate and individual clients on intricate civil, criminal, corporate, and regulatory matters, both domestically and internationally.

Dr Dalli qualified as a lawyer in 2005, obtaining a Doctorate of Laws from the University of Malta. She subsequently earned a postgraduate degree in European Union Law from King’s College London, graduating with Distinction and being awarded the Prize for Best Overall Mark. She was admitted to the Maltese Bar in 2006 and has since appeared before all levels of the Maltese Courts, as well as before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Her practice is based on litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular emphasis on strategic case management and courtroom advocacy. Throughout her career, Dr. Dalli has established a multidisciplinary practice encompassing white-collar crime, regulatory and public law, family law, and cross-border disputes, as well as civil and commercial litigation -- where she demonstrates a capacity for navigating legally complex and high-stakes matters by offering practical and clear solutions.

In addition to this work, Dr Dalli has acted as legal advisor to regulatory authorities and public bodies and has provided expert legal opinions in high-profile international proceedings. Notably, she served as a consultant to a New York-based law firm in a landmark anti-discrimination case before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The court upheld her expert opinion on the application of Maltese and EU law.

Dr Dalli’s leadership in jurisdictional and regulatory challenges arising from emerging technologies has also received international recognition. She has been featured by Forbes as one of three lawyers leading the way in addressing jurisdictional and legal standards within the digital currency and fintech ecosystem.

Alongside her legal practice, Dr Dalli is actively involved in academia. She serves as an examiner and dissertation tutor at the Faculty of Laws, University of Malta, thereby contributing to legal education and mentoring future members of the profession.

As Managing Partner at Dalli Advocates, Dr Dalli oversees a team of litigation experts, encouraging a spirit of quick action and high standards. She is noted for her thorough legal research and hands-on approach, which ensures her clients receive counsel that is both strategic and focused on achieving outcomes.
