Career

Silvia Palacios Flores holds a Law degree from the University of Madrid (Carlos III) and has been practising as a solicitor since 2005. She specialises in Employment and Social Security Law.

She began her professional career as a lecturer, teaching the module on Training and Career Guidance on advanced vocational training courses.

Subsequently, after completing a Master’s degree in International Labour Law at the Sagardoy Foundation, she specialised in advising senior management and providing legal consultancy to companies, offering her clients preventive advice on labour relations, as well as legal representation before the courts in all types of legal proceedings at all levels. She has also been involved in collective redundancy procedures and temporary lay-off schemes.

Furthermore, she specialises in expatriation matters, advising companies on the international relocation of their key staff, drafting internal policies and individual communications to expatriates, and assisting them in decision-making regarding the return of relocated personnel.

In recent years, she has also specialised in equality matters and has designed and negotiated numerous equality plans and measures, supporting companies in both the public and private sectors with their implementation across the engineering, audiovisual production, construction, chemical and retail sectors. Furthermore, as a specialist in anti-discrimination law, she helps companies to implement diversity plans within their organisations.

She currently continues her teaching work by delivering courses and lectures on labour law, both in companies and at specialist associations and forums. Of particular note is her role as an Honorary Lecturer on the Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession at the Complutense University of Madrid, and she is the author of numerous publications.
